Everyday we all hear about Militants fighting our Indian soldiers and waging a war against India.

Mohammad Yusuf Parray aka Kuka parray was the leader of Ikhwan-ul-Muslemoon probably the only pro-India militant group in the history of Kashmir.

Kuka Parray was a kashmiri folk singer who used to make a living by performing at weddings. He joined the JKLF(a separatist group) in 1990 but surrendered in 1995 and formed Ikhwan-ul-Muslemoon a pro India militant group which was instrumental in killing some of the top pro-Pakistani militants.

Kuka Parray also founded the J&K Awami League, he contested the 1996 assembly elections and became a MLA from the Sonawari constituency.

Kuka Parray was killed when he was on his way to inaugurate a cricket match in Sonawari, District Bandipora of Jammu and Kashmir state. Pro-Pakistani militants ambushed his vehicle with grenades and autmatic weapons.

His death was considered a major blow to the security forces against terrorism in Kashmir.
