Andhra government Increase allowance for Muslim-Christian's religious tours

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has increased the financial assistance to Muslims going on Haj. Now the government will give more financial help to Christians traveling to Jerusalem and places mentioned in the Bible. The state government has issued a financial order to issue financial assistance to the pilgrims.

According to media reports, on Tuesday, the government said, "People with an annual income of less than three lakh rupees will be given help of Rs. 60 thousand for Haj. Those whose annual income will be more than three lakh rupees will get 30 thousand rupees. ”Apart from this, the Andhra Pradesh Haj Committee will make arrangements for their stay and food, from reporting at the Haj Camp to their departure.

Similar help will also be given to Christians for traveling to Jerusalem. According to an order issued by the government, Christians with an annual income of less than three lakh rupees will now be given a grant of 60,000 rupees to travel to Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Jordan River, Dead Sea and Galilee Sea.

Earlier, assistance of Rs 40,000 was given, which was announced by Chandra Babu Naidu's government in 2016. According to the order issued by Mohammed Ilyas Rizvi, Principal Secretary, Minority Welfare Department, those whose income is more than three lakh rupees will now be given assistance of Rs 30,000 instead of 20,000. The scheme was launched in 2013 in integrated Andhra Pradesh. At that time, the government used to provide financial assistance of 20,000 rupees for a religious visit to Jerusalem.
